A day at the park!

Since I'm a dog of few words, here is our day in pictures (and short captions).

Playing "fetch" at our new park.

Me and daddy playing my favorite new game: find the dark spot.

I'm checking out some of the wildlife...but where's Bishop?

Bishop's new game must be called "piggy"!

Now he's completely covered...mommy can't believe it!

I'm afraid of what will happen to Bishop!

We had to ride in the way back and get hosed off at Sears.

The bad place

Humph! It was a busy day. Mommy came home early and we went for a walk! A very, very hot walk. That baby Hudson had to take a couple breaks, ya know, laying down in the shade breaks. I made it all the way! But then, after mommy had lunch...we went to the bad place. She tricked us 'cause we got to go in the car and that always means something good! But at the bad place there are these ladies and they put this thing around my mouth so I can't even open it, and then they stick something in my butt, and then they stick me with a pokey thing! It was not fun. But then we got treats at home. Time to take a nap.

Word to your mother

Do you what my favorite place is other than camping...and the pool...and the big bed? It's the dog park. Me and Bishop get to ride in the blue truck and then pull mommy and daddy all the way to the entrance and then...oh boy...the leashes come off and we are FREE! We get to run around everywhere and sniff tails and slobber and drink water and go for rolls and bark. Sometimes I like to stick by mommy and daddy...it's not like I'm scared or anything...I just want to, you know, make sure they're okay. Yeah...that's it.

But do you know what's not fair? You know those small people, mommy and daddy call them kids, well those kids get to play wherever they want. Me and Bishop only have one dog park we can play in. There was this fat, mean looking kid stomping around with a big spike and I don't think he's allowed in our park. I heard mommy saying she wished he would leave and I stayed away from him...Bishop even went up to him and told him to leave...and you know what? He did! Except he went to tease the little dogs next...oh well, they need to be teased a little bit.

Friends!

Wowie wow wow! What a great day yesterday! First Zac and Teresa came to visit us...I was so excited that I just kept saying "yeeaaahhh yeah yeeeowwesaaahh" when they came in the door. Then, I couldn't believe it...the leashes came out and everyone was getting their shoes on and...oh my gosh...we went in the cars! I got to go with Zac and Teresa in Mr. Y and I don't know what happened to Hudsy. But we got to this park and he was there too! Then, mommy and daddy just let us go and we could go all over the place. And can you believe it?? There were other dogs there too! We played and ran and sniffed and chased and barked and rolled and it was AWESOME! Then it was time to go and mommy put some jingle bells on me and a red hat on Hudsy and made me look at the evil lightning machine...I don't know if I liked that very much, but the rest was so fun! Today is a lazy day...lucky me!

Too much Turkey

Ah - what an excellent idea...devote an entire day to eating turkey and sleeping on the couch. I was worried I wouldn't get any turkey 'cause they were eating it all!! But then me and Bishop each got our own plates and it was awesome. Now I'm really sleepy and people keep talking and laughing and playing guitars and stuff. Come on guys! Can't a fat dog get some sleep around here?!?!

What the?

Umm...guys...I don't know if you know this, but our house is like, empty. No, seriously, the big bed is gone...the couch is gone...MY CHAIRS are gone! Even my kitty Ripley is gone...and I'm a little worried that me and Hudsy might be next. All I know is there is this huge Yellow (therefore scary) truck in my driveway and I am NOT going in there...I think that's where they put all the stuff they got rid of. Check back soon...if I'm still around.

I have a new charm on my collar!

Daddy tricked me and Hudson today. He got the leashes out and told us we were going somewhere wonderful. When we got there, I didnt know where we were. I dont think Hudson knew either. The whole place smelled like a million billion dogs and cats and other animals too. They made us stand still on a little platform and then we went into a little room. Once we were in the little room I knew where we were. It was the place where the lady comes and sticks me with something sharp.

We waited in the little room for a little while. There was a lot to smell so it wasnt too bad. Finally the lady came and I told her that she was not going to get me this time. Then my daddy told me to be quiet. Hudson didnt seem to mind her to much so I stopped growling. The lady said she wanted to see me 1st but daddy suggested that they look at Hudson 1st so we knew it was safe. I thought that was a good idea. Let that fatso be the guinea pig. Hudson didnt like that the lady got so close. Even though there was another lady holding him he still kept backing up and looking at me and daddy like they were going to do something bad. It was pretty exciting and I was a little nervous too. Finally they took him away. I was scarred when he left.

A little bit later Hudson came back and was very happy. He ran up to daddy and gave him a big kiss. Then the lady took me away. We went into a different small room and the one lady held me and the other one gave me a little prick. It wasnt too bad. The best part was I got a treat. I didnt even have to go outside in the thunder to get it even. When I got back to daddy the lady said that I did an even better job than Hudson did. Thats probably because she loves me more than Hudson.

After that we went in the hallway and daddy had to write on some stuff. Me and Hudson were pretty antsy and kept tying daddy up with our leashes. I think he likes it when we do that. Thats why we do it every time were on them.

Its been a rough day so I think Im going to spend the rest of the day sleeping on the couch.
